The school offers a variety of class times, including two to five half-day classes, morning or afternoon, for children ages 2 1/2 to 5 years.
Our program is unique in that we have both outpatient therapy and our inclusive developmental preschool program with school-based therapy services.

My brother and I attended Dolley Madison Preschool many years ago and when we moved from DC back to Virginia I was looking for a place for my son to spend a second pre-Kindergarten year. I didn't hesitate; I knew DMPS was the right place for him in so many ways. The teachers are wonderfully loving yet structured, and I appreciate the play-based curriculum and the after-school enrichment offerings.
Having attended DMP some 35 years ago I was already familiar with the school, however, I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of programming the school offers. Our kids have benefited from the "in-house" occupational therapy, flexible early dropoffs, and after school opportunities!
Dolley Madison was a God send for my son. He got immense support to come out of his shell. The teachers and the speech therapist, Sue Lyons, are all wonderful and go way above and beyond to help the families!
Being part of the DMPS family, including the SL program, changed the course of my child's life. At a very young age, when he most needed a loving, nurturing, encouraging and supportive pre-school environment, DMPS provided all that and more. We are eternally grateful that we found this unique program!
